Cheez-its

File:Cheez-It-Crackers.jpg - Wikimedia Commons

On November 14 I was calmly sitting in the cafeteria when a cheez-it flew across the cafeteria. Kids ran over and stomped on the cheez-it. The smashed cheez-it lay there, right beside the trash can. I watch as a lunch lady comes over with a broom, dust-pan, a mop and other cleaning supplies. She hands the children standing with their hands on their hips each a cleaning supply. None of them took it and the lunch lady started looking upset. The lunch bell rang and all the kids ran down the hall-ways. I walked by the cafeteria on my way to my sixth hour class, to find a group of ladies cleaning up the crumbs. The next day I see a sign that says that cheez-its are no longer allowed in the cafeteria. The children from yesterday find a new way to make a mess today.

Grandpa's Birthday Party

I have a relative that live in Colorado. These relatives were in town for the birthday party of my great grandpa who turned ninety on Monday. When I was out of cross country I was expecting to go home, which we did, but then we left to go pick up my Aunt Patty, the daughter from Colorado. My dad picked up my Great Grandpa and we all met at Off the Hook. Off the Hook is a fish restaurant in De Soto. All six of us arrived, my mom, my dad, my brother, my great grandpa, my Aunt Patty, and me. After we all ate a fairly large amount of food, we went to my mama and papa's house, my mom's mom and dad's house. We visited for a while before my dad took home my Grandpa and my mom took home my Aunt Patty. Then we went home and went to bed immediately, it was already 10;30, but it was worth the visit with family.

Friends

National Friendship Day - Cultural Exchange Ideas

One thing I will never forget about being this age is my friends. I will never forget my friends because they are special to me and help me through my problems. My friends are a big factor of my life and I would never forget about them. I want them to stay in my life. Friends are the people who know when to make you laugh or comfort you when your sad. Friends don't have to have the same blood as you to be a part of your family. I think hat adults forget about what it's like to have Friends that you grew yo with because of money and jobs. All the sudden having a job that you have to work at everyday can become a problem between you and your friends. If a friend wants to get together and you have to work, your job can hurt the friendship. I think adults also forget about their friends because of money. I think that some adults think that money is the most important factor.

My Insane Weekend

This weekend will be hectic. I am still trying to figure out how it will all work. I have family coming from Colorado and Georgia for my Great Grandpa's birthday party. He fought in world war two navy and I want to be there to celebrate his birthday. I think we are going to dinner on Friday night, but I can't be sure. Then I have a Cross Country meet at West City Saturday morning. That night I have another birthday party I want to go to, but I don't think I can make the party. Especially since I need to work on my science project with my partner, Abby Tidwell. The day after that I have to go to my grandpa's actual birthday party and to yet another dinner. I still don't know what is going to happen this weekend. What we should do is I could go to dinner with my family and then Abby should come to my cross country meet and come home with me family and I. We could work on our science project and we could drop her off the next day on our way to my grandpas birthday party and skip the other one. Then we could hang out next weekend at a better time.

To the Beach

Visual Outdoors – Summer Storm on the Beach
I sit on the beach, about to go swim. Just as the thought crosses my mind, the waves halt. They freeze, if the waves weren't on the water, they still aren't. It's like someone came in and froze the world, but I can move. I check just to be sure and stand up. I walk over to the ocean and reach out and touch the water. The water isn't even cold, just solid. The clouds that were just white a second  ago turned navy blue and grey. Lightning flashes the sky and thunder rolls overhead. All the sudden I hear footsteps behind me, I turn around and see my family. We all run up to the little shelter and hide away inside. We watch as the sand moves around and starts blowing. If we hadn't came inside when we did, the sand would have flew in to our eyes and noses and the sand turns in to different shapes.

The Horrible Accident

The day the twin towers were destroyed, also known as September 11, 2001. Thursday of this week will be the anniversary of this tragic event. Terrorists came in to the United States and destroyed the twin towers. Blew a bomb right on top of the two towers that stood tall in New York. The people ran around the roads trying to save themselves and the other people around them, although there was nothing they could do. The terrorists had already destroyed the towers that stood one as tall as the other. They stood the same height, looking down on the city. I wonder who would put in their brain that they wanted to destroy two towers that had done nothing to them sometimes. I guess it was kind of like the bombing of Pearl Harbor, they did it to get back at the United States for something. But what would be that bad? Maybe the terrorists had no reasoning at all behind the attack, and they just thought up the idea randomly. I don't know what was going on in their heads or what happened to them after that. After all, I was only a small child at the time, and I have only heard stories of this horrible accident.

The Tumbling Leaves

The wind was howling outside, the dogs barking. When the dogs stopping barking was worse. It was quiet and with the quiet you could hear the leaves being blown off the trees. The leaves tumbling across the yard. The soft rustling sound they made as they made their way to the concrete. You listened as the cars drove by, as if they couldn't hear everything going on. As if they couldn't hear or see the rain as it fell on to their wind shields. I hear a car shut off nearby. I jump out of the chair and look hastily out the window. I hear the dogs start barking again and wonder who the man standing in my yard is. I watch as he slowly looks around the ground, before he turns around a jumps in his car before he becomes too wet.

Chewing Gum

Today in first hour, a friend gave me gum. I said thank you and kindly took the gum, without asking about the flavor. Although I am grateful for the gesture, she did not tell me the flavor of the gum was onion and garlic flavored. I do not like onion or garlic. But she gave me the gum anyways, even though she knows I do not like onion or garlic. Later, in second hour, she asked me how the gum tasted. I told her it tasted great, even though I did not think it tasted great. She gave me another piece of gum, thinking I liked it. I gave it back to her and told her the truth about the chewing gum.
